Every year, I dread the fair..the crowd, the dust, the loudness...but of course, Alex has learned to LOVE the fair, and it's worse this year since he has friends at school talking about it all week.
So, yesterday, we finally went to the fair....every year I dread it, and every year we have a blast and I'm super impressed.
You see, we go to a large variety of events through the year....and the Fair in our own county is better than most of them...even better than events in more...ahem...affluent counties.
The rides are spotless (except for the unavoidable dust of the day) and the employees are helpful, nice, and friendly....simple things, like the giant slide, which has an employee at the top to help children sit on their sack...unlike the slide at a different event we went to, where our child stood at the top and cried until my husband climbed to the top to save him and help him properly ride down.....I don't know...it's just different, and enjoyable, and fun.
Wish we went on a day other than the last day of the season....so we could go again...
