Almost October

I can't believe that tomorrow is October 1st...where in the world has this year gone!?!?!?!
So, you know what October means!
Halloween!!!
There's already a variety of Halloween goodies in the stores...and I could not wait to test out a couple of ideas in my head...so, I give you the first Halloween photos of the season!

Sunrise at St. Augustine Pier

What an awesome weekend we've had! I can't wait for you to see the wedding photos from last night! And then this morning, I met the awesome bride and groom at the beach for some more portrait fun.....until then, here are some sunrise shots from the pier that I got this morning.







The surf was awesome today...very big, and very clean. These surfers seemed really excited to hit the water...

Dodie's Birds Of Paradise

I stopped by Dodie's the other day to get some seed and pellet for Yoda, and of course took my camera!!

Sunshine was out and in rare form....he's such a ham!!








These little conures are so sweet!! They were all over themselves trying to get to me, and when I finally picked him up, he just melted into me for cuddles.

This was her first time perching like this...see? No toes!!
It's acutally common in baby Quakers for the parents to chew the toes while they're still in the nest box...poor babies! But this little gal is determined, and look at her all big there! Boy did she get tired though!!

Willie Wonka

What are you doing this weekend?
If nothing, and you're local to me, I'd suggest you head over to see Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory performed by this year's Advanced Acting Class at the highschool. I was lucky enough to see it with my students yesterday, and wow, did they do a good job!
I took my camera to capture some shots of my friend's daughter, so I thought I'd share a few here ;-)

Engagement Session

What a crazy day this turned out to be....with a Nor-Easter storm coming in, the wind was whipping the ocean into a frothy mess.....seriously!
This awesome couple came in from out of town for a wedding I'll be shooting this weekend (so you'll get to see more of them :-))
They took all of this nasty weather in stride, and from these photos, you could never tell that they were being beaten by the wind.

It's Soccer Season!!!!

We got the call from Alex's new soccer coach that the season is starting. Alex was so excited to start practice!


Dribble Practice....Hmm, that meant something totally different 5 years ago!!!






These cracked me up....his coach was "racing" him for the ball...see the determination in that face!!
