Well, since I've been neglecting photos of Alex lately, I'll make up for it a little bit today :-)
I asked Alex to write Yoda's name on a paper so I could try a photo idea that I had....then he wanted to draw a picture of Yoda to go with his name. I wasn't going to turn him down, I'll always encourage art! Alex said that he needed to have Yoda close so he could see what to draw.....these turned out to be some of my favorites ever!!
I love how Yoda's looking at me here...."Hey! He's drawing me!!"
Look at this! His first real drawing without help!
I think it turned out pretty nice..and I think Yoda approves too!
Here's our little model!

Variety is the Spice of Life
Because I have nothing else to title this odd assortment of photos....
Sweet Yoda...such a cool bird already, look, he's learning to chew and destroy his toys! Yes, I'm happy about that, it means that he's a happy, well adjusted parrotlet :-)
Charlie, the best dog in the world. She's such a sweetie, and so happy all the time!
One of five fat frogs....I love how they watch me as I do my thing in the kitchen. I know that they're just hoping for a meal (little piggies) but they're so cute...as only frogs can be! :-)
And of course, my kiddo. I've been neglecting taking photos of him lately. Ha, but he's not complaining! In fact, as I held the camera up for this one, he sighed and acted irritated "Mom, I'm trying to play my video game!" he said in that preteen even though he's only 5 years old voice.
Five...Kindergarten! Oh yea, see bear there to his right? He's become a constant companion again, which tells me he's a tad nervous about something. He says that he's fine, but the constant companionship of bear tells otherwise. The transistion to Kindergarten I would assume.
And finally, a few photos of a beautiful dragonfly hanging out in our yard yesterday. We have a TON of them, and I love them...they eat the mosquitos! LOL

Yoda
A few recent portraits of Mr. Yoda.
He's not talking yet, but is making kiss noises and laughing in a tiny voice when we laugh at something.
He's also eating ANYTHING I give him. Notice the slight green tinge to his beak? Compliments of a recent battle with leafy greens for breakfast! LOL
40grams or 1 1/2 ounces
Either way you see it, he's a tiny little guy :-)

Baby...Birdies and Melon
Alex planted watermelon seeds at my parent's house. We didn't think they'd do much since it's so late in the season....well, we were wrong!!
After dinner I went outside to try and get some shots of the adorable juvenile cardinals that are EVERYWHERE right now...I got a few shots, but nothing like I wanted...it was too late in the day and the photos aren't as crisp as I'd like.
Darn, gotta try again :-)
LOL
Did some funky treatments to these, kinda different.
