Regardless, she's approx 22 days old and doing FABULOUS! Eating well, hopping around her little hospital cage, and hanging on to my friend's shirt...like my friend is a tree :-)
Yesterday, she got spooked and flew a few feet across the room...oh, and my friend said that her beak is getting quite sharp! I bet!!
Another week or so, and she'll be on her own!!

Nah she is not looking like a Pileated.....not sure maybe a Hairy or one of those woodpeckers you guys get that I don't
